CALL FOR ARTISTS!
We are looking for emerging to mid-level artists for a group exhibition titled love stories from the land. This exhibition is open to Indigenous artists from all mediums. The theme is Strength in Our Land, highlighting the vitality of Saskatchewan’s natural resources with a focus on the many aspects of the ecology of the grasslands. Five artists will be selected to exhibit in our gallery from August-November 2023. Each artist will be paid CARFAC artist fees, as well as an artist talk fee if they choose to participate in the opening event.
Open to Indigenous peoples (First Nations, Inuit and Metis) who are professional visual artists, defined as: someone who has developed skills through training or practice, recognized by artists working in the same artistic tradition, has a history of public presentation or publication, seeks payment for their work and is committed to devoting more time to their artistic activity. There will be a priority to Saskatchewan artists.
