Our well curated gift shops house authentic handmade items made by local First Nation artisans that are unique, one of a kind and beautifully handcrafted using traditional practices and teachings. The Wanuskewin Gift Shop supports and fairly pays skilled local and rural artisans for their work. Your purchase from our gift shop allows artisans to continue their traditional practices and ensure that these traditions are passed down to future generations.
Traditionally smoked moose hide beaded moccasins will surely draw your eye, along with our white deer hide baby wraparounds, birch bark baskets, traditional quill work pieces and moss bags that are all made with great skill and pride by local artisans. We also host a large selection of First Nation artwork from: original paintings, hand painted traditional earrings, intricate feather paintings and Inuit soapstone carvings.
Take home some authentic local Saskatchewan made jams, syrups and tea that will remind you of your visit to Wanuskewin. Our muskeg tea is a must purchase medicinal tea that we source from Northern Saskatchewan, something truly authentic to take home with you that you won’t find in any grocery store.
